Stampbord Contest!!

I just got the Stampbord email Newsletter and it had a banner saying "Click here to see the Contest Winners!" So I did... imagine my surprise when I saw the winner was ME! Cool! I did Zentangle flowers on the little Stampbord tiles with acrylic paint in some areas. If you haven't yet tried it, the Stampbord surface is really nice to tangle on. It's a very smooth, white clay surface that can be scratched away rather like the scratchboard we used in grade school. But better. Not that any of us ever makes a mistake in Zentangle... but isn't it nice to know that corrections are easily made?

I think the prize is lots of Stampbord to play with. I still have a bit left from the last time I won the contest - tee hee hee! If you would like to try some, send me a SASE with a bit extra postage and I'll send you some tiles. (I'll put in as many as are covered by your postage - fair?) I don't mind sharing! Send your SASE to: Sandy Bartholomew PO Box 359 Warner NH 03278.

(The tiles are from 1" to 2" or so, some square, some rectangles.)

  1. I'd love to try this - so generous of you! I'll send you a SASE - but what size should it be? I mean, what size are the tiles? Are they the same size as the Zentangle tiles? Just want to be sure they'll fit in whatever envelope I send you.

  4. Congratulations on your win! It's no surprise, though. Talent will tell. I'll be sending an envelope as well, you generous person, you! Thank you. Are the tiles very heavy? Like clayboard?

  5. Sandy, congratulations on your win! Your entry was lovely and very inspiring! I am sending an envelope also. I checked out the Stampboard website and it sure looks like fun. I want to play with it, too! By the way I am still loving my Alphatangle book. I refer to it every single day when I sit down to tangle. I am going to need another copy because mine is getting so much "love". Thanks for being so generous with your Stampboard!

  6. Hi Sandy,
Kudos to you on the win and thanks for your zentangle blog! I've really enjoyed your postings, art, and information. I wanted to buy your Alphatangle book and hopefully get a couple of the tiles you are offering, but the Etsy sight said the book is sold out. Is the sight correct or is there another way for me to purchase the book?

  7. Ginny - there were about 10 books left on the Etsy site, last time I checked. Try doing a search for AlphaTangle. Cheers!

  8. Odd said Mabel, very odd. Not sure why I saw it as sold out the first time around, but found it just fine this time around and placed my order. Thanks! Ginny

  9. I just got my stampboard! Thank you so much! I can't wait to start messing it up! I've got my xActo knife and brush pens and ink pens...uh oh! Don't know what I want to put on them! I've got the dreaded blank white page syndrome!

  11. Zentangles, of course!! Microns work nicely on the surface - stamps are great too...

  12. It's good to know that the Microns work on the surface. Thanks Sandy.

  13. Oh - and if you want to put a hole in it - for earrings or to string them together or... any way, a Cropadile will actually punch a very nice, clean hole. (That's a super powerful hole punch and eyelet setting tool found at craft and scrapbooking stores)
