Tangle of the Week - Squid

Can a pattern express emotion? Hmmm...
Well, today I am feeling VERY "Squid".

Do you ever feel like... your life is basically really good. But you are so overly aware of the things that are NOT good, that they block out the good stuff? So many things that I have worked so hard at, are starting to happen - to work out, right now, but I've never been good at multi-tasking and my head is starting to swim. I can't say "no" even to the things I REALLY don't want to do. I don't want to let anyone down, but... sigh...
So Squid is me - I am Squid. All those reaching arms... and yet, such nice, juicy... eggs (? berries? what ARE they?) are right there.

  1. What do they say, being aware of the "problem" is the first part of the solution ? Strangely, that is often true.
That saying no thing is exra hard for me too. Sometimes, when I am strong, I do it and you know what ? The only bad thing about the end result is my OWN guilt about it. That means it is in my power to change. Not easy but good work for a strong day...
Hope you have a strong day soon, Squidy Girl ! ;)

  2. Don't let yourself get too run down! I've just been learning to say 'no' myself, so I understand what you are going through.

You probably have lots of tangles to share, already, but if creating them is part of the time pressure, you are welcome to use any of my tangles. I've got them running out my ears (and if you need more, just let me know!)

I love this tangle, by the way! Fantastic!

  3. I cannot thank you enough for these tangles and the format in which they are presented! I've been tangling for two days now and seeing everything through tangle goggles! I even made 3 new patterns! Saving for your awesome tangle card blanks, and the kit, and ... sending you the strength to say 'No' when you need to. Don't dilute yourself! I want you focussed on these Tangles lol!

  4. Oh my gosh, seriously! I love the squid tangle. (This is my "year of the cephalopods", I am seeing them everywhere this year!)
    Thanks!

  5. Going to our local aquarium and watching the fish and fauna are my favorite inspirations for zentangles. I don't think I have every tangled with a squid before, but I can relate to your feeling of going everywhere. My arms would need little knots in them though; I prefer your way much better! Take it easy and invest some serious time in yourself now and then so you can recharge!
